黑脸的张飞 叫喳喳

The black-faced Zhang Fei cries out

紫色的天王托宝塔

The purple heavenly king

holds a pagoda

绿色的魔鬼斗夜叉

The green demons fight the yakshas

金色的猴王 银色的妖怪

The golden monkey king, the silver

genies

灰色的精灵 笑哈哈

The spirits grey-faced laugh out loud

一对对鲜明的鸳鸯瓦

The striking two-paint facial designs

一群群生动的活菩萨

And groups of vivid bodhisuttvas

一滴滴勾描 一点点夸大

Drop by drop make up, bit by bit
